Use these 10 easy steps to make a LaLaLa heart chain necklace for your shufflebot costume

What you need

  • (1) ink jet printer
  • (2) 8.5X11″ transparency- (the kind teachers use to project notes onto the wall) you can find in the office supply section of your local store, ie Officemax, Walmart
  • (1) 8X10″ foam board – You can buy  pack of 5 from Michaels for $6
  • (1) exacto knife
  • (1) 8.5X11″ sliver glitter foam sheet with adhesive back – You can buy 1 from Michaels for $1.50
  • (1) shoestring -  preferably florescent blue or pink

Ten Simple Steps

  1. Download LaLaLa Chain Heart pattern
  2. Load jet ink printer with a transparency instead of paper and print pattern
  3. Take transparency with the wet ink side down and carefully position it on foam board. (be careful ink will run)
  4. Hold transparency firmly in place and rub to transfer ink pattern
  5. Use sharp Exacto knife to cut out pattern now transferred onto foam board
  6. Punch 2 holes as indicated on pattern using a pencil
  7. Repeat process  to cut out pattern on silver foam sheet except use hole punch to make holes
  8. Peel off adhesive backing and stick silver foam sheet to foam board
  9. Optional: Glue nickel to back-side of heart to add weight
  10. Thread shoe string through holes and tie knot at each end
